The first episode of Lucha Underground could be described as the Ivelisse show. The return of Son of Havoc, Ivelisse, and Angelico was highly received by the LU crowd and the triple threat between the trio united by six months of traveling together was quite the surprise.

Ivelisse winning the triple threat was another surprise and a very welcome one because Catrina made it so that the winner would receive a LU title match against Mil Muertes that night.

It’s eerie and sinister to see the “Man of a Thousand Deaths” watching every move in The Temple. Last night, it was Ivelisse vs. Muertes.

One of the spectacular differences about LU is the promotion’s willingness to made men and women equal as competitors. Despite the physical differences of those two, it was a believable match that showcased the heart of Ivelisse and the dominance of Mil perfectly.
