It’s common knowledge in at this point that John Cena is currently on hiatus from WWE. He’s officially advertised for his return to WWE at the WWE live event from Madison Square Garden on December 26th. John Cena will be back for the annual WWE post-Christmas tour.

However, F4Wonline.com is reporting that new plans are developing this week. On December 13th, the WWE “TLC” PPV will be in his hometown of Boston, and it’s rumored WWE is currently making plans for his return to be at that event in Boston.

At “Hell in a Cell” on Sunday, Alberto Del Rio made his triumphant return to stun John Cena and captured the United States Championship from him in what could be the last US Open Challenge.

The plan in place if Cena were to return for WWE’s “TLC” PPV is for Cena to evoke his rematch clause after losing the US title to Del Rio at “Hell in a Cell”. Naturally, WWE is expecting a huge reaction since Cena’s return would be in Boston.

The card is always subject to change. As of this writing, these appear to be the current plans for John Cena. On paper, this seems like the best option for Cena’s return.
