Cena is currently doing rehab on his shoulder and posted the following on Twitter to give a quick update on his early progress since surgery:

“This one may take a bit.” Does that mean that his progress is slow due to the missing cartilage that would put Cena’s return closer to the nine-month timetable or even longer?
Either way, John Cena is not going to be a major player in a WWE ring for at least the next six months, but there has been some speculation about Cena having an on-screen role on WWE television.
The rumors are saying that Cena may not be able to wrestle at Wrestlemania 32 in Dallas, but he may still make an appearance, and that could lead to a role on WWE TV that keeps him out of the ring.
Maybe, the angle between Vince McMahon and Roman Reigns gets to a boiling point that will dissolve The Authority from power and John Cena comes in to be the authority figure of WWE.
