Many fans have been curious about the absence of Rusev from Monday Night Raw last night. During Alberto Del Rio’s United States title defense against Kalisto last night, many were expecting the other three members of The League of Nations to interfere in the match to ensure that Del Rio stayed the US Champion.

However, Barrett, Sheamus, and Rusev were nowhere to be seen and Kalisto upset Del Rio in the surprise of the night to become the United States Champion. That odd because Sheamus wrestled Ambrose earlier in the night and Barrett wasn’t featured either. However, there is a confirmed reason why Rusev wasn’t on Raw.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned that Rusev suffered a minor injury to his knee at the live event in Bossier City, Louisiana on Saturday night at a WWE live event.

Depsite there being yet ANOTHER injury to a WWE superstar, the injury is confirmed to not be very serious and he is expected back before the “Royal Rumble” in less than two weeks.

In fact, Rusev has taken to Twitter to threaten Kalisto and his title reigns. It looks like THe Bulgarian Brute is the next man in line to challenge for the US title now that Del Rio has invoked his rematch clause for this week’s Smackdown on USA. Rusev posted the following threat:
