According to several sources, including the Wrestling Observer, that may not be the case anymore, and the idea of John Cena wrestling in Dallas this April isn’t as crazy as it once seemed to be.
The fifteen-time WWE World Champion is said to be progressing very well in his rehab, and he may be back earlier than expected. It wouldn’t be the first time that Cena made a fast return for a major event.
The original plan WWE had for Wrestlemania 32 was for John Cena to have a match with The Undertaker. It seems like WWE is awaiting the final word on Cena to pull the trigger on him vs. Taker at Mania.
That would also explain why there are so many confusing reports about The Undertaker potentially facing Braun Strowman. WWE has plenty of backups plans for Undertaker if Cena isn’t medically cleared, but the possibility of us still seeing Cena vs. Undertaker at Wrestlemania 32 is still a possibility as of right now.
