Jason Jordan was written off WWE television in February. He missed WrestleMania 34 and hasn’t returned to Monday Night Raw since. It was reported that Jordan has been medically cleared, and has been backstage on Raw for the past few weeks. However, he hasn’t been brought back onto WWE programming because of the following reason.
According to a report from Pro Wrestling Unlimited, WWE officials don’t have anything planned for him to do on Raw. His gimmick as Kurt Angle’s son didn’t go very well. The WWE Universe won’t forget the angle, but WWE officials need to decide if they are still going to push that dynamic or move Jordan into something else on Raw going forward.

Since Chad Gable has been moved to Raw, the opportunity to reunite American Alpha is on the table. Raw’s tag team division could always use another great team and another run for Gable and Jordan could be exactly what both men need to reach the next level.
Jason Jordan is an excellent in-ring talent, but he comes off very stale as a babyface. The expectation before his neck injury was he would be turning heel to begin a rivalry with Kurt Angle. WWE officials could bring him in a surprise attack against Angle to restart their rivalry heading into Summerslam. On paper, that might be the best thing for him.
As Kurt Angle’s “son,” Jason Jordan was put into a challenging position:
He might just need another chance as a babyface to get over. Jordan would be welcome in the Intercontinental Title hunt. There are plenty of heels for him to feud with on Raw, but WWE officials are right to hold off his return until they have a plan. At the moment, Jason Jordan is on very shaky ground and needs to prove himself to the WWE Universe.
