According to several sources, including PWInsider.com, Bryan is scheduled to be reevaluated by Dr. Joseph Maroon this week in Pittsburgh. Based on those results, that may provide the necessary green light that will finally get Daniel Bryan back into the ring in time for this Sunday’s “Royal Rumble” match.
Nothing is confirmed, but it would be foolhardy for WWE not to bring back Daniel Bryan to the ring this Sunday, especially after the battle of WWE’s doctors refusing to clear him for almost a full year.
At this point, Bryan hasn’t wrestled in almost a year and has had all that time to heal any nagging injuries to his body after his shoulder and neck issues started shortly after Wrestlemania 30.
It would be a great surprise for the Orlando crowd to see the return of Daniel Bryan. However, there are many within WWE that believe his return would only harm all the positive work that’s been done for a guy like Roman Reigns in his absence. There is also the risk of him getting hurt again, which would most likely guarantee the end of his WWE career.
