As of this writing, the Best of Seven series between Cesaro and Sheamus is at thre matches to two in favor of the latter, but he may not have the advantage of the series anymore after losing two straight matches.
Logically, Cesaro will tie the series next week and set the two men up for one final match at “Clash of Champions” to determine the better man in the seventh match.
According to a report from Sportskeeda.com, Cesaro is expected to win the series over Sheamus, which would give him one of the greatest comebacks in WWE history and could skyrocket his momentum.
From that point on, he would have “earned” a WWE Universal Championship opportunity as a reward and he’d go on to face Kevin Owens for the title at “Hell in a Cell.”
There is some speculation that Cesaro could find himself on SmackDown before the end of the year just as Jack Swagger did last night on SmackDown, but his WWE contract situation would need to be handled first.
It’s been a long time coming for The Swiss Superman. If WWE goes forward with these plans, Cesaro may become a main event player by the end of the year.
Do you think Cesaro deserves to be in the WWE title picture?
