Vince McMahon Sustains Injury, Requires Surgery

Even the “Genetic Jackhammer” needs repair every now and then.

WWE.com has posted the following story, indicating that Vince McMahon sustained an injury:

WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon sustained an injury while training, requiring surgery, WWE.com has learned. The Chairman will be back in the office at WWE Headquarters on Wednesday, as usual.

It is unknown at this point what caused this injury.

Vince was most recently seen on WWE programming when he was involved in the storyline with Stephanie and Shane McMahon, as he was deciding who would be in control of “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown Live.”

We will continue to monitor this story, and provide updates as they become available to us.

I would have to guess that this is not a storyline injury in any way, and that this is legit. I must say that I hope that I am half as energetic as Vince McMahon is when I am his age. He still looks phenomenal, and is more spry and vigorous as any 71-year old I’ve ever seen. Hopefully this injury is nothing serious, and he will be back in action before we know it.
