Top Five Rumors of The Week: September 5th – 11th

It was a big week for WWE. Raw dealt with the aftermath of Kevin Owens winning the WWE Universal Champion while SmackDown built to “Backlash.”

At “Backlash,” several new champions were established for the brand, including AJ Styles becoming the WWE Champion. There were several big stories still going on, which includes the following rumors from last week that are still relevant to WWE going into a new week of programming.

1. One of the biggest stories of the week was the latest run of Alberto Del Rio coming to an end. He was released by WWE last week and it was reportedly for the following reason.
