The great thing about last night’s ending to Monday Night Raw is it ended on a cliffhanger, which will push the edition of SmackDown tonight to see what happens next.
Because if WWE television was like every other TV show. You’d be wondering when Brock Lesnar is going to hunt down Randy Orton after he drew first blood in their feud, and you’d expect it to happen the next episode.
However, the WWE brand extension appears to be doing just that because there have been cliffhangers on Raw for two straight weeks now that will lead directly into SmackDown’s show.
According to a report from Wrestlezone.com, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman are backstage for tonight’s edition of SmackDown, so it is fair to assume they’ll be appearing on tonight’s show.
Obviously, they’ll be seeking retribution on Randy Orton for his RKO last night on Raw, but now their feud can start to build momentum because The Viper drew first blood.
The RKO is such a quick and sudden move, which also look devastating and Brock Lesnar did a great job of selling it last night because Orton struck at the right time during Heyman’s promo. No one else has done that.
Do you think Randy Orton has a chance to beat Brock Lesnar?
