Back in early May, Eric Young made a shocking appearance during an episode of NXT. He was rumored to be negotiating a deal with WWE to become a member of the roster, but few expected him to just show up one day.

During his appearance, he confronted Samoa Joe a week after finally becoming the NXT Champion and challenged him to a match later in the night in a losing effort.

EY was choked out, and he hasn’t been seen in NXT since. Recently, Triple H talked about Eric Young coming to NXT and an update on his situation.

The Game revealed that he’s working on it with Young and with Bobby Roode. According to RingSideNews.com, there is an even more recent update.

Dave Meltzer posted the following on Twitter about Eric Young’s status with NXT and if he’s “in” so to speak:

We know Bobby Roode is with NXT after making brief appearances on NXT programming and wrestling during NXT live events during a recent tour. Eric Young is more of a question mark, which makes that an advantage for him.

At the moment, Samoa Joe doesn’t have a No. 1 Contender for the NXT Championship. Crazier things have happened, and Eric Young is going to be around if Meltzer is right about his current status.

Do you want to see Eric Young vs. Samoa Joe for the NXT Championship?
