It was a genuine surprise to see Mickie James return to WWE. The end of her run in WWE sort of fizzled out, which wasn’t fair to the quality of performer she was for the company. Luckily, TNA was able to give her a place to succeed and expand her career.
Now that the match is set for NXT Takeover: Toronto, the WWE Universe wants to know if James is around just to put over Asuka in a great match and give NXT officials time to rebuild the Women’s division, or if she’s going to be staying for awhile.
According to a report from Wrestlezone.com, the deal that led to Mickie James’ return to WWE was just put together over the last few days in time for NXT’s television tapings.
As the NXT tapings showed, James wasn’t in the arena and didn’t challenge Asuka directly, but a taped video message was made with her announcing her return for NXT Takeover: Toronto, which will be airing over the coming weeks.
When it comes to Mickie James performing on WWE television after “Survivor Series” weekend, a lot can happen between then and now. It’s not out of the question for James to have some matches on Raw or SmackDown against more women in WWE.
Do you think Mickie James should go to Raw or SmackDown after NXT Takeover: Toronto?
