The Trios Championship wasn’t established until the midway point of LU’s first season. WWE has the Tag Team Championships and have an unwritten rule known as the Freebird Rule that a trio can alternate members in their matches. LU created the Trio Championship to not force that issue and make a rule that is only used when WWE feels it’s appropriate.

The Trios Championships were crowned in a tournament of several trios. Ultimately, they were hung over the ring for a two team ladder match on more than one occasion. The Trios Championships are consistently defended in ladder matches which have created some unbelievable moments.
