Vince McMahon and WWE officials apparently had no idea that The Bulgarian Brute, Rusev, and the Ravishing Russian, Lana, intended to get engaged. The Boss and the WWE found out just like everyone else – from TMZ, which first broke the story.

According to Wrestle Newz, this upset McMahon because “he feels talents should maintain their character and current storylines in public.”

It’s worth noting, as Wrestle Newz pointed out, that the WWE typically only mentions a news media source when they have a friendly relationship with that outlet. So at the very least, we know Vince isn’t mad at TMZ.

Editor’s Note: RAW’s creative team must’ve walked into a cluster-fudge on Monday, but Summer Rae managed to cut a very genuine and believable promo that night. I wonder if ESPN is mad that TMZ broke the news. Follow me on Twitter @RealBillKline or on Facebook
