WWE has the Royal Rumble which leads to Wrestlemania. When Lucha Underground crowned it’s champion, it did so with the help of the Aztec Warfare match. Aztec Warfare held a 20 man elimination match where a wrestler could be eliminated by being thrown over the top rope to the floor as well as by pinfall or submission. A wrestler enters every 90 seconds until there is one winner.

Aztec Warfare is essentially the Royal Rumble, only eliminations can occur by pinfall, or submission which adds another layer. Imagine if you were the number 1 entrant in the Rumble. There is no way, you wouldn’t be pinned by the 30th wrestler entered. In a way, Aztec Warfare is harder to win than the Royal Rumble.
