4. The Holder Should Be Targeted

Damien Sandow Money in the Bank

With permission to steal the World Championship, that is an item every other perform should want. The contract holder shouldn’t only worry about what the champion is doing, or when they are vulnerable. They should be under the eye of every other wrestler on the roster because they have the greatest shortcut in the business.

On paper, if you take out the MITB holder, doesn’t the contract go back up for grabs? Better yet, if you’re the one to take the contract holder out of the game; shouldn’t the contract become yours? On paper, that’s as good as taking out the next WWE World Champion.

From an even simpler perspective, what if a superstar is consistently beating the Money in the Bank holder in singles competition? Since that’s how WWE likes to book it’s holders, that’s a norm. If a wrestler can beat the contract holder consistently, but the holder cashes in successfully. Doesn’t that make that wrestler better than the new champion? That should make him no. 1 contender immediately, right? That would make sense.
