That’s one of the most important parts. Just over six years ago, the WWE Network changed the way the wrestling world worked forever. Not only did we now have the ability to see huge parts of the WWE archive for a rather cheap price, but we were also going to get pay per views for no additional cost. That would get a lot of people to sign up, but it turns out that things might not be the same this year.

This year’s WrestleMania has been turned upside down due to the spread of the Coronavirus. There has been no way around what is going on with the situation and that means things might be getting even worse before they get better. As tends to be the case in WWE though, the show must go on, but in this situation, that might not bring all of the usual benefits with it.

According to Wrestling Observer Live, this year’s WrestleMania will not offer the same amount of boosts towards WWE Network subscriber numbers as there may not be as many people buying the show. The economy has taken a major hit due to the spread of the Coronavirus and as a result, fans may not be able to spare the money for the show. There will still be new subscribers getting their first month free, but there will not be as many people buying the show for the $9.99 cost.

Opinion: That’s the kind of thing that is going to hurt the WWE’s overall financial status, but at this point, that is happening to everyone. At some point it is going to get better but at the moment, things are looking rather bleak. Hopefully it improves in the near future, including the wrestling business, though it might take some time. WrestleMania may not be the same, but at least it’s better than nothing.
