Next show up. The Coronavirus pandemic has certainly taken its toll on the wrestling world so far and unfortunately it seems to be continuing for the time being. The Omnicron variant has brought the numbers back up around the country and WWE has certainly been hit as well. That can make things a good bit more complicated, but WWE does not seem to be deterred.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE is currently planning to continue with its Day One pay per view despite a new Coronavirus outbreak. Day One is currently scheduled for January 1, 2022, though several members of the WWE roster are said to have contracted the virus. There is no word on what will happen if several of the scheduled matches are unable to take place. WWE is also expected to continue with its live event schedule, though individual cities may change their rules and shake up WWE’s plans as a result.

WWE has set up Day One rather well. Check out how the show was built:

Opinion: It sounds like WWE is playing it a little risky with this situation and I can’t say that surprises me. WWE has a track record of not doing things that make the most sense in a situation like this, but they do seem to go by the motto of “the show must go on”. Day One could look very interesting in a bad way, which is a shame as WWE has done a nice job of making me want to see the show.

Will this backfire on WWE? How will Day One look? Let us know in the comments below.
