Every night, a brand new Paige. Earlier this year, Ronda Rousey debuted for WWE, marking a major coup for the company. Rousey was the biggest female sports star in the world at her peak and a lot of that star power still exists. She has opened the door for MMA fighters to come to WWE and another seems interested in following her footsteps.

These are good footsteps to follow.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, UFC fightiner Paige VanZant is interested in joining WWE at some point in the future. While VanZant isn’t leaving UFC anytime soon, she has made it clear that she would be interested in jumping to professional wrestling. WWE contacted VanZant in 2016 about potentially moving to the company and VanZant kept it in mind. VanZant has an MMA record of 7-4.

Opinion: For years we’ve heard about wrestlers wanting to go into MMA but now things seem to be changing a bit. With Rousey coming over, a lot of other top stars could see things as being a little more interesting. I’m not sure if VanZant is making a jump one day but at 23 years old, it’s not like there’s that much of a rush.

This can lead to big things.
