I would think he’s earned it. There were a lot of big moments during this year but there are few that are going to come close to the emotional impact of the Undertaker’s retirement. Undertaker officially retired thirty years to the day of his debut at Survivor Series in 1990. That is an amazing career and there is only one thing left for him to do, but it might be a little while before it happens.
The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the usual WWE setup in ways that no one could have imagined. The company has not had a full allotment of fans in about nine months and it is still not clear when that is going to be back to normal. That can have a bigger impact than you might realize, but it is something that has to be fixed one day. Until then, we might not be seeing one of WWE’s coolest moments.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, WWE is unlikely to induct Undertaker into the Hall of Fame in 2021 as Vince McMahon wants to see Undertaker inducted in front of a full audience rather than just the empty arena. It was recently reported that the 2020 Hall of Fame class could be inducted in 2021, but the event would be virtual rather than anything taking place in person.

Opinion: This makes a lot of sense and it’s not like you have a Hall of Fame speech from someone like Undertaker every day. Go with the pomp and circumstance moment, as it is going to be something that Undertaker deserves and something WWE can promoted in a huge way. Just do what makes sense here, and wait a little longer. Undertaker has certainly earned it.
