I guess it’s supposed to be funny? Over the last few weeks, the Street Profits and the Viking Raiders have been involved in one of the strangest angles in recent memories. The teams have been competing in a variety of competitions, with the idea of being able to prove that they can beat the others at any given sport. The segments have had various similarities, and one of them might be a big rib.

One of the running tropes of the stories has been various people getting involved with the segments, either a judge or a referee or a police officer in one scene, and every time they do something similar. In each of their appearances, they let Ivar off the hook for some sort of offense because he’s cute. It turns out that this is a rib, but not because of anything that Ivar has done.

According to Wrestling Observer Live, each of the people who have found Ivar cute have been “heavier” women. Every male judge has sided with the Street Profits in each segment. The idea is to rib Ivar by saying that heavier women find him attractive while saying that “you not so much” in regards to Erik. There is no word on whose idea this rib was.

They’ve been at this a few times. Check out some of the competitions:

Opinion: This comes off as a situation where WWE is trying to have a little fun behind the scenes. I’m not sure if this is exactly the funniest thing in the world or something that the people at home are supposed to notice, but it’s not like it’s anything that is going to hurt anyone. The segments alone have been rather questionable, but never let it be said that WWE won’t let things go on beyond the point of needing to end.

What have you thought of the segments? Did you notice the rib? Let us know in the comments below.
