That’s how you get rid of them? The battle between WWE and AEW has changed all kinds of things about the wrestling world, some of which have been better than others. This has included the way talent is handled, as some names have moved around from one company to another. Some have just wanted to make a jump, but their companies are making it difficult for them. Thankfully, that was not the case this week.
One of the biggest stories in this area has been that of the Revival, who have been trying to get out of their WWE contracts for well over a year now but WWE has shut them down every single time. This has not exactly gone well for any party involved, as WWE has been seen as petty in keeping the team around when both sides are ready and Revival has been sat on the shelf for the time being. Now things seem to have been settled, and in a better way than some expected.
WWE has announced that the Revival has received their immediate release from the company. According to Ryan Satin, the team does not have a ninety day no compete clause, meaning that they can appear immediately for any other company they choose. This includes AEW, though their television is taped for the next several weeks after a marathon taping session last week.
FYI – I’ve confirmed with sources that The Revival do not have a no compete clause and are free to work wherever now, hence the “immediate release” wording from WWE.

The team has had its moments. Check out what AEW might be getting:
Opinion: That no non-compete clause report makes me feel so much better as there would be no reason to make Revival wait any longer. The two sides clearly wanted nothing more to do with each other so let them go once and for all. This should let us get the Revival in AEW where they belong, though I’m curious to see if it was the team that was so good or the entire situation that made it work.
What do you expect from Revival? What will they do in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
