That would make some sense. You might have heard a little bit about the Coronavirus in relation to the wrestling world these days, as it’s kind of the only thing most people are talking about at the moment. The situation has changed all kinds of things on almost every front, including moving WrestleMania to the Performance Center. There are other changes taking place as well, and now we might know one of them.
There are a lot of events that make up WrestleMania weekend. In addition to all of the wrestling events as well, we have the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which offers a completely different side of the business. The night is a great way of showcasing the history of wrestling and that is what we get with the Hall of Fame. We just might have to wait a bit here.
Georgia Smith, the daughter of the British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith (already announced as part of the class), mentioned on Twitter that WWE is considering moving this year’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony to Summerslam weekend in August. The theory would be that the Coronavirus situation will have improved by then, allowing the ceremony to go forward in a more traditional setting than in the Performance Center. WWE has not announced any changes to the ceremony as of yet.

Bulldog has deserved this honor. Check out some of his moments:
Opinion: Really, this is the kind of thing that they should be doing as the Hall of Fame is something that can be done at any time. The whole point is to have the family and friends there so it would make little sense to have it in front of an empty building. Let them have their moment in front of a real crowd, and asking them to wait just a few months is not a bad idea.
Do you think this change should be made? When would you hold the ceremony? Let us know in the comments below.
