Thanks for clearing that up. There are wrestling legends and then there are wrestling legends, with the latter group being some of the biggest names of all time. Some of those names are currently around in WWE and that can make for some interesting moments. Only a handful of the legends are going to get important storylines, and one of them has made a pretty big adjustment.
One of the more interesting stories taking place on Monday Night Raw in recent months has been the issues between Ric Flair and Charlotte. The father and daughter have not been seeing eye to eye lately, as Charlotte told Flair to stay out of her career. Flair responded by mentoring Lacey Evans, but things changed in a big way last week. Evans announced that she was pregnant and Flair seemed to imply he was the father. WWE has offered quite the update.
During this week’s Monday Night Raw, Flair made it clear that he was not the father of Evans’ child and that he was merely mentoring her. Flair and Charlotte continued their issues backstage, with Flair saying that he was only there to try to extend the Flair family brand, though Charlotte still told him to leave. Evans did not appear on the show and is actually pregnant outside of the storyline.
It was quite the surprise. Check out how things went:
Opinion: I’m not sure where this is going but the Charlotte vs. Flair story seems like it is going to go on for a good while to come. Hopefully WWE finds a way to make it work if that is the direction they are going, as you never can tell where they are taking something. The story is likely to lose some of its legs with Evans being gone but there are other people who could be slotted into the story.
