Not everyone can make it. There have been a lot of wrestlers to come through the WWE doors over the years. Some of them are remembered for not being so great and some of them are average, but a pretty select few are good enough that WWE wants to remember them forever. Now we know that one former champion will not be joining the others at the top level of WWE history.

The WWE Hall of Fame has been around for almost thirty years and dozens of wrestlers have been enshrined over all that time. There are some names who are a lot more famous than others and there are some names whose inductions might surprise you. Either way, they are all in the same Hall of Fame and it is quite the honor for a WWE wrestler. You can imagine that one will not be happy over some news that he received.

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ahmed Johnson was recently interviewed by SportsKeeda and was asked why he was not in the WWE Hall of Fame. Johnson said that it was due to a falling out that he had with Vince McMahon around the time that he left the company, when McMahon told him that he would never be in the Hall of Fame. If he was ever inducted, Johnson said he would pick Al Snow to induct him as he felt they worked well together.

It is quite the interview. Check out the full interview (with the statements beginning at around 7:55), plus some of Johnson’s time in the WWF:

Opinion: I remember Johnson’s time in the company when I was a kid and while he was dominant during his run there, I’m not sure his time was great enough to warrant a Hall of Fame induction. Then again, Johnson was a memorable star during his time there and wrestlers with less success than he has had have made it into the Hall of Fame. I’m not sure if he will ever go in, but there are worse candidates out there.
