Mark your calendars. We are in a special time with the WWE calendar as WrestleMania is less than forty days away. That means we are firmly on the Road To WrestleMania and things are going to start picking up in a huge way. WWE has a lot of things to cover before they roll into Tampa for the huge weekend, but WrestleMania is not the only thing taking place that week.

There are a lot of parts to WWE and since the company has so much television time, fans are able to see almost everything that takes place on any given week. That includes both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, but also NXT, which has become quite the powerful third brand of its own. One of the biggest reasons has been their Takeover series, which will be making a return.

According to Fightful, NXT will be presenting its next edition of Takeover on April 8, two days before WrestleMania 36. The show has not been announced by WWE but it appears on the WWE Network schedule when someone attempts to cancel the WWE Network. This will be the first Takeover since February 14 when the company presented Takeover: Vengeance Day. No subtitle is given for the show.

Takeover has quite the history. Check out what can happen there:

Opinion: This is always nice to hear and it’s great that NXT will be getting their own chance to shine on the biggest stage of the year. I know it isn’t quite the same thing as working WrestleMania, but NXT has done just fine as its own thing over the years and they can do it again here. Hopefully the show works out well, but that is almost as much of a given as you can have in wrestling these days.
