One more time? Retirements in wrestling are kind of a weird thing. It is very rare to see someone actually retire and be gone for good, as it is almost impossible for a wrestler to officially hang up their boots. Every now and then you are going to see someone actually stay away for a bit, but then you see them come back later on. We might be seeing that one more time.
The Women’s Revolution has changed the way women’s wrestling world and that is a great thing for all of wrestling. While the WWE Women’s Revolution has only taken place over the last five and a half years, there were several wrestlers who helped set the stage for what was to come in the future. Now one of those wrestlers is asking about making a one off return to the ring.
WWE sent out a tweet on Thursday asking which wrestler fans would like to see as a surprise Royal Rumble entrant. Madusa responded, asking when WWE was going to give her a retirement match as she isn’t getting any younger. Her most recent match was a battle royal at Evolution in 2018, which was her only match since her retirement in 2000. There is no word on if WWE is interested in having Madusa wrestle again.
Well you know what? One can only scream on top of the mountain for so long and so loud… When are you going to give one of your golden era Hall of Famer‘s a freaking retirement match? Just putting it out there. After this I’m done. I mean really I’m not getting any younger ?? https://t.co/TQIR3bqlb0

Madusa had one heck of a career. Check out what she could do in the ring:
Opinion: I could certainly go with one more Madusa match, as she is one of the most important female wrestlers in history. She was one of the only female WWE wrestlers to be treated as something serious in the 1990s and that is the kind of thing that deserves some more attention. Things seem to have been smoothed over after her issues in the 1990s so hopefully she gets to have this match if she wants to.
