Welcome to the family. WWE is a huge wrestling company with quite a few resources. One of the biggest and most effective that they have is NXT, which not only brings in a lot of money to the company, but also serves as a way to get wrestlers ready to come up to Monday Night Raw and SmackDown. Noe one of the bigger names NXT has had in recent years will be making such a move.
NXT has put a major focus on its women’s division since the show began and that has not changed since. There are all kinds of talented women on the show and that will likely be the case for a good many years to come. Several of these women have already made the jump up to one of the main roster shows and now a rather different kind of star will be joining them.
WWE has announced that former NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley will be making her Monday Night Raw debut on the March 22 episode. This comes after several weeks of vignettes advertising her debut. Ripley has not wrestled since the Royal Rumble, when she was the last woman eliminated by winner Bianca Belair. There is no word on what Ripley will be doing on the show.
Ripley is a monster. Check out what is coming to Monday Night Raw:
Opinion: This is one of those things that should have happened a good while ago. Ripley did not need to be in NXT any longer and can clearly hang with the main roster talent. What worries me is how she will be used up there, as WWE does not have the best track record when it comes to their NXT call ups. Hopefully Ripley is treated differently, because she certainly is different.
