Keep it coming. We are less than two days away from WWE Fastlane but you might not have known it at the starts of the week. WWE has not put the highest effort into the show and its build has been a bit lackluster as a result. Several of the matches were only announced this week and that is not a good sign for the show. It was the case again this week as something else was added to the card.

One of the more interesting ideas for a feud is someone’s friend standing up for them. It makes for an easy to follow story as everyone has wanted to stand up for someone they care about before. Anyone can understand this kind of an idea and it is something that has been done rather well more than once over the years. That is the case again with a new Fastlane match.

This week on SmackDown, a match between Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura was set for the upcoming Fastlane pay per view. Nakamura is fighting to avenge his friend Cesaro, who was attacked last week by Rollins. The match was announced after Nakamura interrupted Rollins’ speech during this week’s show, resulting in a brawl with Nakamura hitting Kinshasa.

This could be quite good. Check out how the match was set up:

Cesaro painfully rebukes Seth Rollins: SmackDown, Feb. 26, 2021

Cesaro vs. Murphy: SmackDown, March 12, 2021

Shinsuke Nakamura looks for payback on Seth Rollins: SmackDown, March 19, 2021

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise in the world and there is nothing wrong with that. The match has been set up well and given who is in the match, we should be in for a fun time at Fastlane. They might not be headlining the show anytime soon, but this is the kind of match that you can put on a card and almost guarantee some good results. Smart move here and it should be a strong match.
