Hopefully it isn’t that bad. You never know when you are going to see an injury take place in wrestling and that is a major downside. An injury can take place at any given time to any given wrestler, even if they are doing a move that they have done time after time in their career. Unfortunately that seems to be the case again in NXT and we could be in for a change as a result.

Titles mean a lot in NXT as they have done a great job of keeping them feeling important. Every title match feels like an event and a title being on the line means that you have a chance at seeing history. NXT has not had a ton of title changes in its history and as a result, the ones we have seen are that much better. Now though we might be seeing another without the champions losing.

According to F4WOnline.com, NXT Tag Team Champion Danny Burch suffered a separated shoulder during a title defense on this week’s edition of NXT. Burch landed awkwardly on a suplex from Karrion Kross and left the ring without getting involved again for the rest of the match. It is not clear how long Burch will be out of action or what it will mean for the future of the titles.

Oney Lorcan did what he could on his own. Check out how the match went despite Burch’s injury:

Bálor & Kross w/Scarlett vs. Lorcan & Burch – NXT Tag Team Title Match: WWE NXT, March 17, 2021

Opinion: There is very little that can be positively spun out of this as it could be a rather serious injury. A separated shoulder put Kross out of action for months last year and forced him to vacate the NXT Title and it would not surprise me to see the exact same thing happen here. Hopefully that is not the case as the title reign has gone well, but I would be surprised if it goes any better than that.
