I guess it counts as filler? Things have been very different around WWE television as of late. The company is doing its best to survive with all of the ongoing medical risks and uncertainties that come with them, but it hasn’t been easy. Some television tapings have been postponed and in some cases wrestlers have not been around for the shows. That leaves WWE some holes to fill and now we know one way around things.
If there is one thing that WWE can do it is produce a lot of content when they need to. With so large of a video archive at their disposal, they can throw all kinds of things out there at a moment’s notice. It might not all be original content, but putting some older matches on television can draw an audience under the right circumstances. We are going to have one of those circumstances next week.
During this week’s SmackDown, WWE announced that next week’s episode will include an airing of Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt from this year’s Money In The Bank, which took place on May 10. This comes two weeks after AJ Styles vs. the Undertaker from WrestleMania 36 aired on SmackDown. Wyatt vs. Strowman will take place again at Extreme Rules in a Swamp Fight.
It’s part of their history. Check out the two of them over the years:
Opinion: I’ve been watching these two on and off for about two months now and I just cannot get invested in their feud. Strowman was part of the Wyatt Family but it wasn’t like he was the longest standing member or felt like anything more than an enforcer. That doesn’t feel like a way to build a multiple pay per view feud, but then again they are in some strange times and are probably doing whatever they can think of at the moment.
What do you think of the feud? How much longer will it last? Let us know in the comments below.
