In a new interview on “The Taz Show”, TNA’s Jeremy Borash (who has been producing the Final Deletions and the Great War) said that various teams will breach their contracts to compete in this match. In the interview, as transcribed at 411mania.com, Borash predicts “no less than a dozen lawsuits when wrestlers openly defy their contracts to work this match.” Earlier this week on “Impact Wrestling”, Matt Hardy invited “the Bucks of Youth” and “the Day of the New” to participate. Borash also says there will be a full set, including lights and the six sided ring.
While the easy joke is to say that everyone else is suing TNA, there is some recent history that prevents this from being the amazing idea that they’re speculating. Last year, Hernandez jumped from Lucha Underground to TNA. However, he was never actually released from his Lucha Underground contract, meaning his TNA matches weren’t allowed to air on television. The matches were filmed but had to be pulled and replaced, resulting in the angle being scrapped entirely.
The question now is who will actually show up. The Young Bucks certainly wouldn’t be a surprise as they’ve worked for TNA multiple times before. You would have to assume some older teams, such as perhaps the Rock N Roll Express and the Midnight Express. For the life of me I can’t imagine New Day or any other active WWE team appearing as WWE has nothing to gain by sending them. Unfortunately without any big WWE team, this is going to be a bit of a letdown.
Who would you like to see appear in the match? Do you think there is any chance that a WWE team will appear? Let us know in the comments below.
