You don’t want to anger your base. In something that might not be much of a surprise, the ending to a WWE show in Saudi Arabia did not go so well. The Saudi Arabian shows have not been well received for the most part and a lot of that has been due to their main events. This one was no exception, and some fans are not exactly thrilled, including a pretty famous one in particular.
WWE has had a strong connection with celebrities over the years. The company has always tried to establish as many mainstream connections as possible, so whenever almost any celebrity WWE fan comes around, WWE is going to want to keep them around. Some of these celebrities are very big fans indeed, but one of them is not exactly happy with something that happened this week.
On Thursday at Super ShowDown, Goldberg defeated the Fiend in less than three minutes to become Universal Champion. As a result, longtime WWE fan and actor Macaulay Culkin took to Twitter to complain about the title change, saying that he would be canceling his trip to Tampa for WrestleMania 36. Culkin has appeared at a variety of WWE events over the years, including WrestleMania 7.
Some other wrestlers have commented on the title win. Check out their comments, plus a look at Culkin’s involvement with WWE over the years and of course the title match:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you have to expect from a hardcore fan. Over the years, WWE has made it clear that they love to focus on part time wrestlers and legends around WrestleMania season, which may not sit well with fans who watch every single week. Maybe things can get better, but at the moment, I have a feeling that Culkin is not going to be the only long term fan who isn’t happy with what happened.
