Well that happened. As announced and heavily promoted, Undertaker appeared on tonight’s 900th episode of “Smackdown Live”. This was Undertaker’s first appearance on the show in three years and in his big return…he didn’t really do much. Basically he praised Shane McMahon for being scared of nothing and said Smackdown would win on Sunday to end the show.
Undertaker also talked about how Survivor Series will now define him instead of Wrestlemania being his signature event. The big point of his appearance was to praise the Smackdown team though, including threatening to deal with them all personally should they lose on Sunday. This threat could lead to Undertaker’s next major feud.
Well that was a big waste of time. But hey, at least we get McMahon getting another big pay per view appearance instead of, I don’t know, an actual wrestler on the show. This is the same thinking that has caused so many issues with WWE over the years but for some reason Shane is allowed to get away with it over the rest of the McMahons. I’m rather disappointed that McMahon wasn’t taken off the team but maybe he’ll do a funny dance to make up for it.
What do you think of the Smackdown Survivor Series team? Should Undertaker have been added? Let us know in the comments below.
