It’s never too late to start bringing them back. The tag team division in WWE is a tale of two rosters at the moment. The Monday Night Raw tag teams are suddenly stacked with the Usos, the Revival, Anderson and Gallows, the Viking Raiders and of course the Tag Team Champions. Things are a bit more bleak over on SmackDown Live, but help may be on the way in the form of a returning team.

According to Post Wrestling, Akam’s knee injury is healed up and the AOP should be back on WWE television in the near future. When they do return, it is likely that they will be appearing on SmackDown Live. The team has been missing in action for the last several months due to the injury, with Rezar wrestling a few singles matches in Akam’s absence. There is no word on if Drake Maverick will still be their manager.

Opinion: This is some very good news for the SmackDown Live tag team division, which is barely running on fumes at this point. Bringing the AOP in could be a very nice boost for the division, which is basically Heavy Machinery, Shinsuke Nakamura/Rusev and some nobodies. It’s not like it’s some great big addition, but right now anyone is better than nothing.
