Those are special. Titles are the most important part of any wrestling promotion as they signify the most important wrestlers in the company. A wrestler who holds a title is going to be seen as a big deal, at least partially because of their big shiny belt. Those belts are some of the iconic images in wrestling, and now we are getting a special look at one of the most important.

This week, WWE is celebrating 60 years of the WWE Championship, as it debuted April 25, 1963. The company has uploaded a video to its YouTube page, looking at the major versions of the championship. The video includes a walk thru of the title’s history and shots of wrestlers holding each design, as well as some trivia about all of them. It begins with the inaugural title and goes all the way to the modern version.

Opinion: This is one of those awesome things for wrestling history geeks and WWE knows how to do this as well as anyone else. The company has such a history and its main championship is part of it, making this such a special look back at the whole thing. I could go for a lot more of things like this, as it ties together so many years of the company’s long history.
