He would make sense. WWE was turned upside down earlier this week when Triple H unveiled and introduced the new World Heavyweight Championship. The first champion will be crowned on May 27 at Night Of Champions, but there is no word on who will be involved in the match. That is going to make things interesting, and now we have an idea of who will be the inaugural champion.

According to WrestleVotes in an interview with GiveMeSport, Seth Rollins is the “leading candidate” to become the first World Heavyweight Champion. There is no word on who else might be in the running or how the first champion will be crowned. Rollins, a four time World Champion in WWE, is currently scheduled to face Omos at Backlash and is coming off a victory over Logan Paul at WrestleMania 39.

Rollins is an all timer in WWE. Check out some of his better moments:

Opinion: This is a logical way to go as Rollins is not only a major star in WWE, but he is also one of the only top names that Roman Reigns has not defeated during his current World Title reign. Rollins has a different kind of claim against Reigns, which is how the new champion is going to be compared no matter what. I’m not sure how he might win it, but it could be a smart move.

What do you think of the idea? Who would you have as the inaugural champion? Let us know in the comments below.
