That would be a big one. While there are all kinds of wrestling promotions around the world, WWE is the most prominent and well known throughout the industry. A wrestler becoming a star in WWE can make their career for years after they leave as having a former WWE star on a roster can be a huge deal. That very well may be the case again as a former champion in WWE might have a new home.

According to PWInsider.com, Trinity Fatu, formerly known as Naomi in WWE, is expected to join Impact Wrestling at this Friday’s TV tapings. This comes after Impact Wrestling teased a “major surprise” for the tapings. Fatu has not wrestled since May 2022, when she and then Sasha Banks walked out on WWE. Since then, Fatu has been backstage at a variety of promotions but has not appeared on camera for any of them.

Opinion: I’m not sure how many people had this one on its radar but there is something intriguing about the idea of Fatu going to a promotion outside of the major two. She certainly has talent and a resume, but I’m not sure how well she would fit with one of the bigger promotions right now. Impact Wrestling’s Knockouts division has done very well in recent years and it would be interesting to see her join up.
