They’re back. There are a lot of things going on during any given episode of Monday Night Raw or SmackDown and that can get a little hectic in a hurry. It can make for some complicated situations and someone is going to need to be on top of all of the issues. WWE helped take care of that this week as they made some changes to the way both shows are run week to week.

This week on SmackDown, WWE COO Triple H announced that Adam Pearce had been promoted from a WWE executive to General Manager of Monday Night Raw. As a result, SmackDown needed a General Manager of its own, with Triple H introducing Nick Aldis to fill the role. Aldis is a former NWA World Champion and Impact Wrestling World Champion, who wrestled as recently as earlier this month.

Opinion: This is an interesting change of pace and something that WWE has done on and off for over twenty years now. I’m not sure how well it is going to go but at least WWE is trying something new. It makes sense, even though I’m not sure how Pearce is getting a promotion by going from running two shows to just one, but at least he has something to do going forward.
