Old vs. new. There are certain wrestlers who are viewed as legends in wrestling and it makes for a special occasion when they show up. This can often be the case after they have retired and sometimes they’ll be announced in advance. One such legend was kind of announced in advance, though he certainly made an impact on a younger star when he actually showed up.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: VIDEO: Several WWE Guest Stars Make Surprise NXT Appearances (And Get Violent)

This week’s NXT featured a main event of Carmelo Hayes vs. Bron Breakker. Hayes won the match but Breakker attacked him after it was over. Breakker bragged about himself, only to be confronted by the Undertaker, who chokeslammed Breakker to end the show. Following the show, Undertaker and Hayes posed together on the stage. Undertaker’s appearance had been teased for the show but never confirmed.

It was a big night. Check out the main event, Undertaker’s appearance, and what happened after the show:

Opinion: While Undertaker had been teased, it was a cool moment to see him actually show up. At the same time, I’m not sure how much good it does to have him beat up one of the young, top heels in NXT. Granted Breakker had just finished a match, but was there really no one else Undertaker could have beaten up? It was hardly some terrible moment, but I’m not sure I get the logic.

What did you think of the appearance? What would you have had Undertaker do on the show? Let us know in the comments below.
