When wrestling goes a bit wrong. Shinsuke Nakaura is one of the fastest rising stars in WWE today and looks like he could be World Champion in very short order. He’s been around wrestling for several years now and has a long, distinguished career in Japan. One such moment didn’t go so well for him.
About four years ago at “Wrestle Kingdom VII” on January 4, 2013, Nakamura was defending his IWGP Intercontinental Title against Kazushi Sakuraba. During the match, Nakamura charged at Sakuraba and things didn’t seem to go as they were planned. The incident happens at 11:48 but the whole match is included.
(NJPW) Kazuchi Sakuraba VS Shinsuke Nakamuru
Opinion: Sometimes these things happen and there’s nothing that can be done about them. Thankfully Nakamura got up and was ok enough to finish the match, but a lot of people might not have been so lucky. Both have extensive MMA training and experience so it could have been instinct from Sakuraba that knocked Nakamura out.
What is the worst in-ring accident you’ve seen? Should this match have been stopped? Let us know in the comments below.
