Mucha Lucha. There’s nothing wrong with more professional wrestling on your television and this coming week will see the return of one of the more unique promotions in the world. After a very long four month absence, a very niche style professional wrestling organization is making its return to TV.

As announced on their Twitter and YouTube page, “Lucha Underground” will resume its third season this coming Wednesday, May 31, with the All Night Long match as Lucha Underground Champion Johnny Mundo defends against the Mack. Their last show aired on January 11 and the promotion hasn’t held any shows since. The company has released a trailer for the second half of the season, which you can see below.

Lucha Underground Midseason Return Trailer | Returns May 31st

Opinion: I really don’t get the strategy behind having a four month layoff, especially when you call that the “mid-season” break. Other than contracts, is there any reason to go this long without airing SOMETHING? The company was having issues before they left and now they’re basically starting over. That’s not the brightest thing in the world and I had all but forgotten what was going on.

Do you like the show? How long do you see it lasting? Let us know in the comments below.
