He’s certainly good at it. Sami Zayn is one of the most popular wrestlers in WWE today and he keeps getting one loud reaction after another. One of the things that people seem to like about Zayn is how well he can tap into emotions and make you care about him. Over the weekend though, he showed how much he cared about the fans.

On Friday, Zayn defeated Kevin Owens in a street fight in his hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. After the match, Zayn cut an emotional promo, talking about how much he didn’t like Owens but he certainly respected him after spending fourteen years coming up the ranks together. Owens was given a chance to respond and said (in French), something equivalent to “I hate you Sami.” Zayn then thanked the crowd to end the night.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you only get at house shows and that makes it feel special. These two have been friends for years and it’s always cool to see them get a major moment like this. It’s not something you can script (though you know WWE would try) and that’s what makes it feel important.

Do you think Zayn will be at “Wrestlemania XXXIII”? Will Owens defeat Chris Jericho? Let us know in the comments below.
