Back to the drawing board. Earlier this month, “Impact Wrestling” almost completely reset with a ton of new talent, new personalities and fresh stories. While there has been a huge investment in the new format, the question is how well does it work. One way to tell is the audience and we now have the third week’s results.

After last week’s strong improvement over the show’s debut, “Impact Wrestling” saw its ratings and viewership come crashing back down to earth this week. According to 411mania.com, the show brought in a .07 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 304,000 viewers, down 30% and 11% respectfully. On average, the show has had a .072 rating with 297,000 viewers so far this year.

Opinion: Maybe this is just a one off number but this happens to “Impact Wrestling” quite often: they’ll pop a rating (by their standards) and then it comes right back down the following week. Maybe the fans didn’t like the new stuff or maybe there wasn’t much else on, but it’s clear that the fans aren’t sticking around for the show and that’s not a good sign so soon into a relaunch.
