WATCH: Roman Reigns And Paul Heyman Respond To The Rock

He’s on their minds. We are on the way to WrestleMania 40 and the early stages of the show’s build are starting to come together. That seemed to be the case this week on Monday Night Raw when the Rock made a surprise appearance. Rock made a reference to Roman Reigns and the speculation was off to the races. Now we have the next step in what could be a major story.

This week on SmackDown, Reigns and his advisor Paul Heyman were both asked about Rock’s comments. Reigns laughed at the question and walked away without saying anything. Later in the show, Heyman said that Rock was trying to go viral by mentioning Reigns, talking about everyone else who has challenged Reigns. There is no word on when or if a match between Reigns and Rock will take place.

Opinion: This is going to be the big story for the next few weeks as now we get to see where everything goes from here. What matters is finding a way for the match to happen, as it is a great story that writes itself. I’m not sure how it is going to play out, but for now we are in for what could be one of the biggest matches in modern WWE history. This was another, albeit kind of small, step but the fact that it has been acknowledged twice in a week is a big deal.
