It’s the sincerest form of flattery. There have been countless wrestlers throughout the years but only a handful of them have made a major impact. Those are often the kinds of wrestlers who make an instant impression for one reason or another and it is often rather positive. At the same time, there will be those who can be quite the copy, which is the case again in a rather nice homage.

Matt Cardona has uploaded a new video to Twitter, showing himself and his regular partner Steph De Lander reenacting an Undertaker and Stephanie McMahon segment. De Lander is shown at Zack Ryder’s (Cardona’s) grave when Cardona appears as the Rydertaker, complete with a “Steph” tattoo across his throat. Cardona then slowly stalks a running De Lander through the cemetery until she gets into a car. There Cardona asks “WHERE DO STEPHANIE” to end the video.
This is rather familiar. Check out the segment, the original, and Cardona vs. Undertaker:
Opinion: The line at the end was funny and that’s entirely the point of something like this. At the end of the day, the Undertaker character is one of the most ridiculous things you will ever see when you get outside of the wrestling bubble and that is something of what they were playing at here. Cardona has a good sense of humor and I wouldn’t be surprised if Undertaker found it funny as well.
