Come on up? There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster that the company has two regular television rosters along with an official developmental system. The NXT developmental wrestlers also appear on their own national television though, and that can go a long way towards getting them onto Monday Night Raw or SmackDown. Another NXT wrestler might have gotten a tryout this weekend.

Over the weekend, WWE presented a live event in Laredo, Texas. The show featured a surprise appearance by former NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, who was born in Laredo. During the show, Perez teamed with Raquel Rodriguez to defeat the team of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. While Perez has wrestled a handful of matches on the main roster, there is nothing to suggest that this is a full time move.
That’s special. Check out Perez’s entrance, plus some of her recent efforts:
Opinion: This is the kind of special moment that you do not get to see every day. Perez got to perform in front of friends and family who would probably not get to see her very often. At the same time, it is a smart move for WWE to put her in such a spot as she is all but guaranteed to get promoted sooner than later. Perez is going to be on the main roster one day and she is already on her way, especially with previews like this one.
How has Perez done in NXT so far? How would she do on the main roster? Let us know in the comments below.
