WATCH: CM Punk Talks Putting Robin Williams In An Airplane Spin

It’s one of a kind. Wrestling occupies a weird place in the celebrity world as you do not see wrestlers break into the mainstream very often. At the same time though, you do see some celebrities who know their way around wrestling, as several of them have been a fan at some point in their lives. Now there is a new story of how a pretty famous actor had a run in with a top name wrestler and things got interesting.

CM Punk was a guest on the Wrestling Perspective Podcast and told a story about staying at Lars Frederiksen’s (one of the show’s co-hosts) house when actor Robin Williams was there as well. Williams found out that Punk was sleeping upstairs and decided to splash him in bed. Punk woke up and chased Williams down, eventually tackling him and putting him in an airplane spin in the street. Punk did not realize it was Williams until he started chasing after him.

Opinion: I have no idea if that story is true or not but it puts some of the funniest possible images in my head (as opposed to my knee). Williams was known for his out there antics and Punk is the kind of person I could see doing something just like this. I’m not sure how realistic something like this is, but at the same time, it is the kind of thing that would make sense given who was involved.
