VIDEO: WWE Teases Roman Reigns’ WrestleMania Challenger

Sound WrestleManiaish to me. There are so many talented wrestlers on the WWE roster today, but there is only one Roman Reigns. Since winning the Universal Title back in August, Reigns has turned into one of the most dominant stars WWE has seen in a very long time. It is going to take someone special to get the title off of him and now we might have a new candidate.

Part of the problem with having someone like Reigns as the champion is that someone is going to have to take the title from him. That makes sense, but at the same time there are only going to be so many people who can be seen as a realistic threat. It can help to have someone with a successful career in the first place, and that is the kind of person who might be coming for the title.

Daniel Bryan promises to take down Roman Reigns: Talking Smack, Dec. 26, 2020

Daniel Bryan appeared on this week’s edition of Talking Smack and spoke with Reigns’ advocate Paul Heyman. Bryan asked Heyman if he thought Bryan was a better father, husband, fighter or wrestler than Reigns. Bryan spoke about the energy that he felt when he was defeating Reigns’ cousin Jey Uso and knows that he wants to win the Royal Rumble to challenge Reigns at WrestleMania 37. Even if Reigns is no longer champion, Bryan wants to face him at some point, because Bryan knows he is a better fighter and a better wrestler.

Opinion: That very well might be the best option that they have for WrestleMania at this point, assuming the Rock is not available to face Reigns. Either way, Bryan vs. Reigns is a heck of a match as Bryan is one of the few names on SmackDown who could be presented as a realistic challenger. Bryan is one of the easiest wrestlers in the world to get warmed up in a hurry and if WWE can do that, they have a great WrestleMania match on their hands.
